June is in the books; bring on the sweltering heat of July and August.  June was filled with great golf and food here at Chevy Chase Country Club with a sizeable amount of focus on the Fugawi Member Guest Tournament.  Our annual member guest went off without a hitch with 33 two-man teams competing.  Each day the players enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner with different formats of golf going on the entire time.  We served a steak and fish dinner on Saturday night accompanied by great wine and a live band that finished off the event with a bang!  ...

On another note, last month’s New Member’s Tournament has been postponed to sometime in August. Shane is planning a New Member Mixer 9-Hole followed by cocktails. It’ll be a great way to meet the other members. Look for sign-ups in the Pro Shop.
