Well, we got thru it! The Fugawi went great and thank you all for helping out on the course by staying on the cart paths before the Fugawi; the course was in great shape by the time it started. Now we’ve got to think about the hot summer months. It is important for all of us to do our part to keep the course as green and beautiful as possible. The month of June was very good to us here at Chevy Chase as we were experiencing some of the best course conditions that we have ever had. But don’t get comfortable!! With the certain upcoming heat, the course will be in a constantly fragile state of limbo. That’s why every divot that you fix on the course and every ball mark that you fix on the green makes a difference. Something as simple as fixing your ball mark on the green and maybe one other can be the difference between a beautiful course and a municipal track. Keep in mind that everyone is paying dues up here to have membership at a private country club and with your help, we can keep it looking like one. Kyle Marshall Superintendent |
